FRANCE: 150 RUSSIANS 'BEHIND' MUCH OF MARSEILLE TROUBLE

French prosecutors say around 150 Russian hooligans were to blame for much of the violence seen in Marseille as Euro 2016 got underway.

Two Russians have been arrested, while six Britons, three French and an Austrian have also been detained over trouble at the tournament.

Organisers UEFA have threatened England and Russia with disqualification if there is further violence.

But UEFA and French police have also been criticised for the handling of a potential flashpoint that had been widely anticipated.

UK correspondent Olly Barratt says the suggestion of involvement of organised gangs of Russian hooligans is being welcomed by many England supporters in France.
