German MPs under police protection over Armenia vote

A German MP said certain lawmakers have been placed under police protection after receiving death threats over the parliament's vote to recognize the genocide of Armenians by the Ottoman Empire.

The Turkish government responded harshly to the near unanimous vote, sparking tension between the two allies.
