Mitt Romney implores Americans not to support Trump

The last Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney has lashed out at current Republican frontrunner Donald Trump, accusing him of being a phony conman who would make American less safe.

In a speech at the University of Utah, Mitt Romney, who was defeated by Barack Obama in the 2012 election, implored Americans to vote for any Republican contender other than Mr. Trump.

He said, if nominated, Trump is sure to be defeated by Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton.

Mitt Romney said a Trump presidency would hurt America's economy.

UK-France Summit Ends With Warnings Over Brexit

The British Prime Minster David Cameron has been holding talks with French President Francois Hollande over dealing with the migrant crisis on the Calais and Dunkirk coasts, as migrants try to cross over into Britain.


But the French President gave a stark warning the the UK, saying if Britain were to exit the EU there would be serious consequences on the economy and immigration.

US extends Russian sanctions


US President Barack Obama extended sanctions imposed against Russia in 2014 over its interference into the civil conflict in eastern Ukraine. The Kremlin  says it"regrets" the news. White House: New Sanctions Will Target N. Korean Elite

The U.N. Security Council has unanimously approved a set of tough sanctions against North Korea in response to its recent nuclear and missile tests.

The sanctions were drafted jointly by the United States and China, North Korea's closest ally.
