Boko Haram implement Sharia law in Nigeria

INTRO: The extremist terrorist group Boko Haram has introduced Sharia law practices in a town in North-Eastern Nigeria where the local military has been driven out. The group, which has killed thousand of people in its brutal campaign to eradicate western education in Northeastern Nigeria, has taken over the town of Mubi (MOO-BEE) and has amputated the limbs of suspected thieves. Update on voting in US Midterm Elections

Voting is underway in America's mid-term elections, with Republicans hopeful that they will capture control of the US Senate and be in a position to block President Obama's initiatives during his remaining two years in office.

One-third of the Senate and the entire House of Representatives are up-for-grabs.

Elections are also taking place for the post of Governor in 36 of America's 50 states.

US Ebola Nurse Reaches Deal Over Quarantine

An American Ebola nurse who was initially ordered to stay at home after returning from West Africa, despite displaying no symptoms of the virus, has cut a deal with the authorities that allows her to travel.

Kaci Hickox tested negatively for Ebola twice, but officials in the US state of Maine originally went to court to try to ban her from public places.

Most voters expected to sit out US midterm elections

Eurozone growth forecasts cut

Americans go to the polls for mid-term elections

Polls are now open as Americans vote for 36 U.S. Senate seats, all 435 U.S. House of Representatives seats, and many local races.

With many races tightening in the final days of campaigning, the question for many candidates is who will show up and actually cast a ballot.
