Trump administration sued over funding freeze

A number of nonprofit organizations are suing the Trump administration
following a freeze on federal aid programs.

The government is stopping financial assistance to programs which
include school meals for low-income students and foreign USAID
assistance.

Israel insists laws to prevent UNRWA from operating will go ahead

Israel's ambassador to the United Nations insists that laws to
prohibit UNRWA from operating in Israel will come into effect in 48
hours.
Danny Danon told a UN Security Council meeting on Friday that his
country's plans to go ahead with its decision despite opposition from
the world body and other member states.
The UN says these laws are a fragrant violation of international law
and should be rescinded.

Oklahoma to require proof of citizenship for students

Students in Oklahoma could soon be required to show proof of citizenship. The state's Board of Education on Tuesday approved a proposal that would require parents to show proper documentation when enrolling their children. UN concerned about US foreign aid freeze

New group of 49 migrants arrives at Italy's controversial facilities in Albania

REPORT: Netanyahu set to meet Trump in Washington

Reports are circulating that Israel's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, is set to travel to the United States next week to meet with US President Donald Trump.

According to Netanyahu's office, there's been no invitation extended yet, but if he does travel during this timeframe, it would make him the first foreign leader to meet Trump at the White House after his inauguration.

French president responds to 'dire' Louvre Museum's call for help

On Tuesday, French President Emmanuel Macron will visit the Louvre in Paris, after the museum's director called for government help to address a multitude of issues.

According to the authorities at the world's biggest museum, there are leaks, it's over-crowded, and its exhibition halls are ageing.

Prostate Cancer Becomes Most Common In England

Prostate cancer has become the most common form of the disease in England, with a 25 percent increase in cases in the past 5 years.


It's thought the rise might be down to awareness campaigns and the publicity generated by Olympic cycling champion Sir Chris Hoy talking openly after he received a terminal diagnosis.

US opens probe into sudden movement on United Airlines flight from Nigeria

UN Security Council pledges full support to peacekeepers in the DRC
