The head of the UK armed forces has warned the world is entering a new nuclear age.
In a speech in London, Admiral Sir Tony Radakin accused Russia of "wild threats of tactical nuclear use" - and of carrying out "large-scale" exercises and simulated attacks against Nato countries.
He also pointed to the threats posed by Iran's nuclear ambitions and North Korea's ballistic missile programme.

The United States Supreme Court is for the first ever weighing up whether states can ban transgender treatments for young people.
At issue in a hearing today is a Tennessee law barring minors from using puberty blockers and hormones, legislation that proponents say is designed to protect teenagers from the risks of "life-altering gender-transition procedures."
