No one will win a trade war,' China says after Trump tariff threat

INTRO:  Neither the US nor China would win a trade war, the Chinese embassy in Washington said on Monday, after president-elect Donald Trump vowed additional tariffs on China as well as US neighbors Canada and Mexico.

Trump said he would impose additional 10% tariffs on goods from China and 25% tariffs on all products from Mexico and Canada in posts to his Truth Social network on Monday. Laura Westbrook has more.

Imran Khan's supporters clash with police as march to free him reaches Islamabad

Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan's supporters have clashed with soldiers and police teams at the outskirts of Islamabad.

Police say one officer has been killed and more than 100 have been injured.

The Army has also been deployed as Pakistan's government tries to stop tens of thousands of supporters of Khan from trying to march into the capital.

They are demanding the former cricketer - who has been in jail for over a year now on corruption charges - be released immediately.

Indian city tense days after clashes

A city in north India in the country's most populous state is on edge, days after four people were killed and dozens more injured in clashes.

Federal criminal cases against Donald Trump dropped

US President-elect Donald Trump looks set to escape trial for his alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 election result after investigators filed a motion to drop the case.


Special counsel Jack Smith on Monday moved to dismiss the charges against the former President due to a long-standing Justice Department policy that bars the prosecution of a sitting President.

Black Friday sales start early to help US consumers shop

Pakistan's capital under security lockdown

Ruckus in Indian Parliament over Adani US indictment
