Modi-Xi to hold first bilateral meeting in 5 years

Georgia Supreme Court rejects GOP bid to reinstate controversial new election rules

Georgia's Supreme Court has unanimously rejected a bid by Republicans to reinstate a slew of new, controversial election rules - two weeks before election day. A lower court last week had called the rules "illegal, unconstitutional and void."

Former Abercrombie boss arrested on sex trafficking charges

The former boss of Abercrombie and Fitch was arrested on Tuesday on sex trafficking charges.


Mike Jeffries was arrested in West Palm Beach in the US state of Florida - two others are also facing criminal charges.


They are expected to appear in federal court on Tuesday.

IMF lays out growth forecasts in report

The International Monetary Fund has raised its growth forecasts for the United States, but cut them for China, warning of risks from conflicts, trade wars and high interest rates. 


The United Nations' major financial agency published its World Economic Outlook on Tuesday, which estimates that global GDP will remain at 3.2% this year and next.


Finance leaders have been gathering in Washington DC this week for the IMF and World Bank annual meetings. From there, Benji Hyer reports.

Blinken & Netanyahu discuss capitalising on death of Sinwar

UN report suggests Gaza war has set Palestine’s development back nearly 70 years

A new United Nations report released on Tuesday suggests that the
impact of the year-long war in Gaza has set development back by about
69 years.

More Republicans are casting their ballots early, compared to four years ago, although Democrats still hold the edge in early voting turnout.

Parliamentary battles over contentious budget begin in France

1100 Prisoners To Be Released In UK To Combat Overcrowding

Around 1 thousand 100 prisoners are due to be freed early from jails in England and Wales today (Tuesday).


It's part of efforts to ease prison overcrowding, and follows the release of nearly two thousand prisoners in September.


In a bid to find a long term solution, the UK Government is launching a sentencing review that will explore tougher punishments outside of prison while making sure there is space to incarcerate the most dangerous offenders.

Harris and Trump neck and neck in swing states

Israel attacks another UN peacekeeping site in Southern Lebanon
