U.S. auto workers extend strikes

Auto workers in the U.S. are expanding strike action as they continue
to seek better wages from three major car manufacturers.

Roughly 7,000 people at Ford and GM assembly plants are walking off
the job Friday bring the total number of workers on the picket lines
to 25,000.

US lawmaker Dianne Feinstein, the longest-serving female senator in American history, has died aged 90.


Senator Feinstein, a Democrat, was considered a trailblazer for women in politics.

India's Karnataka Braces for a Statewide Strike

India's southern state of Karnataka is being hit with a day-long strike organised by farmers and trade unions.

They're protesting against sharing river water with a neighbouring state.

Blinken raises Sikh separatist murder with India's foreign minister

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has urged India to cooperate with a Canadian investigation into the murder of a Sikh separatist leader, who was killed in British Columbia in June.

Police reimpose curfew in Manipur after fresh violence
