US-listed Chinese Stocks Soar on Social Media Rumour

US-listed Chinese stocks rallied following unconfirmed reports saying Beijing is preparing to phase out its zero-COVID policy.

That's despite China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs saying it was unaware of the situation.

Bolsonaro finally speaks after election defeat

Brazil's president Jair Bolsonaro has finally addressed the country
nearly two days after losing a presidential runoff race to Luiz Inacio
Lula da Silva.

Bolsonaro didn't say that he would contest the election but also
didn't acknowledge he was defeated.

Houston police have identified Migos rapper, Takeoff as the person

Bank of England begins selling government bonds

The Bank of England has begun selling off government debt, in a move hailed as a milestone in economic history.


Britain's central bank is holding the first auction of its nearly £850 billion of UK government bonds, or gilts.


These were built up under its quantitative easing programme - it will now enter a period of quantitative tightening.

Biden campaigns in Florida and takes aim at DeSantis as Dems drop in polls

Former UK Health Secretary under fire for joining reality TV show

A British politician has been suspended from serving as a Conservative MP after joining the cast of a reality TV show.


On Tuesday it was revealed former Health Secretary Matt Hancock will appear on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here later this year.


Mr Hancock was in government during the Covid-19 pandemic, but was forced to resign after breaching his own rules by kissing an aid in his office.

Delegation of European lawmakers visit Taiwan amid geopolitical tensions

Eight European lawmakers are in Taiwan for talks with high-ranking officials including president Tsai Ing-wen.


The trip comes amid heightened tensions over the self-ruled island after the Chinese Communist Party's recent congress. 


Two of the participating parliamentarians are under Chinese sanctions, accused of spreading disinformation and blacklisted after the European Union sanctioned several Chinese officials over alleged abuses in Xinjiang.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit Morbi, the site of the collapsed bridge
