Scottish First Minister lays out plans for new independence referendum

Scottish First Minister, Nichola Sturgeon, has laid out plans for another independence referendum next year.

Scotland voted to remain part of the UK in 2014, but now with Brexit done, Ms Sturgeon believes becoming independent would be more beneficial to her country.

Speaking in Scottish Parliament she set out plans for a new democratic vote.

She claims that by electing a majority of Members of Scottish Parliament committed to independence last May, the Scottish Public's opinion on the matter is now clear.

Dozens of migrants found dead in a truck outside San Antonio, Texas

NATO to boost high readiness troops to 300,000
