Anger and frustration grow over police response in Uvalde massacre

Texas law enforcement is coming under increased scrutiny as police change key details in the Uvalde school shooting that left 19 children and two adults dead.

In a new timeline provided by officials, the suspect was inside the school for at least an hour before border control entered and shot him dead.

Parliamentary aide to UK Home Secretary resigns over Partygate scandal

Uvalde parents demand answers as NRA convention begins

Domestic terror bill fails to pass US Senate after mass shootings

Republicans in the US Senate have blocked legislation to combat domestic terrorism, as lawmakers fail to bridge the political divide even in the wake of a series of mass shootings.


47 Senators voted in favour, and 47 against, short of the 60 votes needed, with partisanship again preventing any compromise on the heated topic of gun violence.
