Juror in Ghislaine Maxwell case reveals he is a sexual abuse survivor

A juror in the Ghislaine Maxwell sex-trafficking trial has revealed
that he is a survivor of sexual abuse.

According to media reports he doesn't recall being asked whether he
was ever sexually abused before the trial got underway.

Prosecutors have asked the Court to conduct an inquiry.

At least 13 dead in Philadelphia apartment fire

At least thirteen people, including seven children, have died in a fire in an apartment building in the US city of Philadelphia.

Djokovic and team held at Melbourne Airport after seeking Covid-19 vaccine exemption

Unvaccinated tennis star Novak Djokovic has been denied immediate entry to Australia after flying into Melbourne and claiming a medical exemption against the Covid-19 jab.


He's now spending the night at the airport amid reports that a medical exemption request is incompatible with the type of visa he's trying to use to enter the country.


He hopes to play in the Australian Open, but earlier on Wednesday Prime Minister Scott Morrison said that if his immigration documents were not in order he would be put on - quote - the next plane home.

UK scraps need for pre-departure for those arriving in England test from Friday

People arriving in England will no longer need to take the pre-departure Covid test in new rules brought in from 4am UK time on Friday. Prime Minister Boris Johnson made the announcement in the House of Commons. The need to self-isolate on arrival until a negative PCR test result has been confirmed is also set to be dropped.
