UK scraps need for pre-departure for those arriving in England test from Friday

People arriving in England will no longer need to take the pre-departure Covid test in new rules brought in from 4am UK time on Friday. Prime Minister Boris Johnson made the announcement in the House of Commons. The need to self-isolate on arrival until a negative PCR test result has been confirmed is also set to be dropped.
