UGANDA OKAYS MIXING PFIZER, ASTRAZENECA VACCINES

Uganda's Health ministry has approved the use of the Pfizer-Biontech Covid-19 vaccine.


It'll be used alongside the AstraZeneca jab which is already being rolled out.

Government will oppose bail for looters

South Africa’s National Prosecuting Authority intends to oppose bail for suspects arrested during widespread incidents of looting in the country. More than 450 businesses have been ransacked since Saturday, including entire shopping centres. German intelligence chief sounds alarm on ISIS resurgence

Just as America winds down its combat operations in Iraq, Germany's top intelligence officer has made a very public warning about the resurging strength of ISIS.

FACE COVERINGS TO REMAIN COMPULSORY ON LONDON TRANSPORT

Face coverings will remain compulsory on buses, tubes and trams in London, despite England's legal covid-19 restrictions ending on Monday.

London's Mayor Sadiq Khan has asked the city's transport authorities to make it a "condition of carriage" - saying he's concerned only having advisory guidance on masks will put passengers and staff at risk.

Rugby international denied Australian citizenship

Quade Cooper has represented Australia 70 times in test match rugby and at two World Cups, but that's not enough for him to be granted citizenship.


The 33-year old, who moved to Australia from New Zealand at the age of 13 and went on to play for the Wallabies between 2008 and 2017, claims his application for citizenship has again been denied.

Biden slams Republican-led voting restrictions as an "assault"

UN wants Eritrea out of Ethiopia

UK cuts overseas aid budget -- in spite of Parliamentary rebellion

UK politicians have voted by a narrow majority in favour of maintaining a $5.5bn cut to foreign aid.

German Health Minister urges higher vaccine take-up
