UK politicians have voted by a narrow majority in favour of maintaining a $5.5bn cut to foreign aid.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson defended the decision, blaming the "economic hurricane" and "great strain" caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, insisting the measure's only temporary.
