Stocks slump as Trump accuses China of Currency Manipulation

Global stocks took another dive on Monday as the trade row between the US and China intensified.

President Trump accused China of currency manipulation after the Yuan fell to an 11 year low.

Trump condemns weekend violence in address to nation

President Trump says the perpetrators of the weekend shooting attacks that left 29 people dead in Texas and Ohio committed "crimes against humanity".

He's condemned bigotry, racism and white supremacy in the aftermath of the shootings….but has not said whether he feels any degree of personal responsibility for inciting at least one of the attacks.

India to revoke special status for Jammu and Kashmir

India's government says it will revoke a special constitutional provision that gave Jammu and Kashmir significant constitutional autonomy.

This move is aimed at fully integrating its only Muslim-majority region with the rest of the country. Pakistan has condemned the move, accusing India of violating international norms. India and Pakistan govern Kashmir in parts but both claim the state in full.

Government clampdown in Indian administered Jammu and Kashmir

India's government has imposed restrictions in the state of Jammu and Kashmir while also putting local leaders under house arrest.

This comes days after the government deployed 10,000 additional troops to the disputed state citing a 'terror threat' from Pakistan-based groups. This is a claim Islamabad has denied.

Both India and Pakistan stake claim to Kashmir in full but govern only parts of it.

Indian government gets powers to designate individuals as terrorists
