POLICE INVESTIGATE LONDON 'PARCEL BOMBS'

London counter-terror officers are being assisted by Irish police as investigations continue into three explosive devices sent to transport hubs.

The parcels were received on Tuesday at Waterloo Station, and at premises close to London's Heathrow and City Airports.

It's thought some of them were posted from Ireland.

Police say they retain an open mind about the motive behind the incidents which they are linking.

No one was injured by the devices, although one of them briefly ignited.

N. Korea rebuilding rocket test site: S. Korean intelligence

South Korean intelligence has reportedly told lawmakers in Seoul that North Korea is rebuilding a rocket launch site. The news comes after the U.S. and North Korea failed to reach a deal on denuclearization at their latest talks.

Bruce Harrison tells us more from Seoul.

According to Yonhap News, the intelligence officials said it looks like North Korea has restored a door and roof at the launch site, called Sohae.

North Korea has used the area for satellite launches and missile engine testing.

But the ballistic missiles Pyongyang claims could strike the U.S. were tested elsewhere.

Last year, North Korea promised to dismantle Sohae after President Trump and leader Kim held the first summit.

But backing up the South Korean intelligence service's testimony, U.S. think tanks say satellite imagery suggests there has been rapid efforts to rebuild the launch pad and rocket engine test stand.
