US trade deficit hits 10-year high

The US trade deficit has hit a 10-year high, reaching $621 billion
dollars in 2018, despite promises from America's leader to reduce the
imbalance.

President Donald Trump has introduced tariffs to try and stem the
widening gap of foreign imports versus US exports.
