Trump's top lawyer on Russia probe quits in frustration with President

President Trump's top lawyer dealing with the Russia probe has resigned, because he says the President won't take his advice.

Russian Ambassdor to UK says Johnson Nazi comments "unacceptable and irresponsible"

Russia's Ambassador to the UK  has called the comments of British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson that compared Russia to Nazi Germany "unacceptable and irresponsible". 

The remarks of Alexander Yakovenko came after Mr Johnson likened the public relations gains to Russian President  Vladimir Putin from hosting the upcoming Football World Cup to Adolf Hitler's use of the 1936 Berlin Olympics.


Mr Yakovenko said the UK had blamed Russia for the poisoning of former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia in Salisbury without any evidence, adding that is something his country cannot accept. 


Speaking from the Russian Embassy in London, Ambassador Alexander Yakovenko said the comparison of Russia to Hitler's Nazi Regime could not go unchallenged.

Asylum-seeker sentenced to life in prison for murder in Germany

A German court has sentenced an asylum seeker to life in prison for the rape and murder of a a university student in the city of Freiburg.

The case has fueled tensions in Germany over the large number of asylum seekers in the country.

UK marks one year anniversary of Westminster terror attack


Britain is marking the one year anniversary of the first of a wave of terror attacks to hit London and Manchester in 2017,  with services of remembrance. 

It was on this day last year that Khalid Masood drove a van onto the pavement on Westminster Bridge to target pedestrians before stabbing a police officer to death at the entrance to the parliament.   Five people were killed before Masood was shot by police.

Eleven "cow vigilantes" jailed for life for beating meat trader to death

A court in India has sentenced 11 men to life in prison for beating to death a meat trader.  

This is the first conviction for violence by so-called cow vigilante groups in the country, who target those involved in the trade of beef.

The UK is marking a year since a terror attack at Westminster which killed five people.

Khalid Masood drove his car at people on Westminster Bridge before stabbing a police officer to death outside Parliament.

14 people died in 4 terror attacks in London in 2017 and all are being remembered at events in the British capital.

Police officer Sean Cartwright was called to the scene as colleague Keith Palmer was stabbed outside the Houses of Parliament - he's been paying tribute to him.

UK to Warn EU About Russia at EU Summit

Indian political parties deny Cambridge Analytica links

India's ruling party, the BJP and the country's main opposition party, the Congress have accused each other of having used the services of the analytics firm, Cambridge Analytica.

Zuckerberg says Facebook will step up security

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg says his company will step up security in the wake the data scandal rocking the social media behemoth.

But in a statement released Wednesday he stopped short of on apology.

Zuckerberg admits Facebook made mistakes amid allegations Trump campaign-linked Cambridge Analytica improperly obtained the personal data of 50 million users.

Facebook is promising a full audit of any third party app with "suspicious activity," and says it will further restrict access to user information by developers.
