Police find children 'shackled to their beds' in California

Thirteen siblings have been found inprisoned in their home in California including some "shackled to their beds with chains and padlocks".

Their parents David and Louise Turpin have been held on charges of torture and child endangerment.

Protest in Times Square after Trump comments [WRAP]

A protest has been held in New York in response to allegations that
President Donald Trump made derogatory comments about African nations
and Haiti.

SIMONE BILES SAYS SHE WAS ABUSED BY OLYMPIC GYMNASTICS DOCTOR

Olympic all-around gymnastics champion Simone Biles has alleged she
also was abused by former USA Gymnastics doctor, Larry Nassar.

Many gymnasts, including other Olympic champions, have accused Nassar.

The revelation came in a statement on her social media accounts, one
day before a weeklong sentencing in which Nassar will face jail for
criminal sexual conduct.

HAWAII BALLISTIC BLUNDER - EMPLOYEE "REASSIGNED"

Officials reviewing Hawaii's Emergency Broadcast System, say the
employee who sent out a false alarm has been "reassigned" to a new
position.

They won't be sacked as it was "an honest mistake." Investigations
will focus on a lack of safeguards in the system itself.

More than a million people were sent an alert saying a ballistic

Key powers in Syrian war denounce US plans for allied Kurdish-led border force

Syria, Turkey and Russia have strongly criticised US plans to help an allied Kurdish-led militia set up a 30,000-strong "border security force".

Belgian police discover 12 weapons of war during anti-terror raids

Twelve weapons of war have been found in an apartment in Brussels during searches connected to anti-terrorism operations.

Ethiopia to release 528 political prisoners

Indonesian Stock Exchange floor collapse - at least 72 injured

At least 72 people have been injured after a mezzanine floor at the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the capital Jakarta collapsed early Monday afternoon.
Police cordoned off the two-tower, multi-storey building following the incident, and Images on social media showed a mangled metal structure had collapsed around a Starbucks cafe near the entrance to the lobby.
