Key powers in Syrian war denounce US plans for allied Kurdish-led border force

Syria, Turkey and Russia have strongly criticised US plans to help an allied Kurdish-led militia set up a 30,000-strong "border security force".

The strongest denunciation came from Turkish president Erdogan, who has described it as a terror army and vowed to "strangle" it.
