Indian government considers stake sale in troubled carrier Air India

Air India employees could face an uncertain future under plans to sell off a stake in the debt-laden state carrier.

Local media reports suggest that the Indian government is looking at offering some of the airline's employees voluntary retirement packages or absorbing them into public sector companies.

Mumbai correspondent Rebecca Bundhun says the carrier's troubles go back some years.
