Officials reviewing Hawaii's Emergency Broadcast System, say the
employee who sent out a false alarm has been "reassigned" to a new
position.
They won't be sacked as it was "an honest mistake." Investigations
will focus on a lack of safeguards in the system itself.
More than a million people were sent an alert saying a ballistic
missile was on the way, terrifying residents and tourists on the
islands.
US correspondent, Frances Read, says the state of Hawaii has already
put in corrective measures to stop it happening again.
