Author of Trump-Russia dossier 'told FBI he feared Kremlin blackmail'


The former British spy who put together the now infamous 'Trump-Russia Dossier' feared the billionaire might be blackmailed by the Russians.

The details emerged after the release of a U.S. Senate testimony transcript from the head of the firm that hired Chris Steele to collect the information.

Tillerson promises Cuba "sonic attack" inquiry

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson says a new inquiry will look into a series of sonic attacks on embassy staff in Cuba.

America's top diplomat says US personal will not return to Havana until more is known about the mysterious incidents.

Several staff have complained of nausea, ringing in the ears, and vertigo after hearing a strange sounds while on assignment in Cuba.

Steve Bannon first rose to prominence in the political world after taking the reigns of Breitbart news, after the founder Andrew Breitbart passed away in 2012.

US military apologies over Japanese accidents

The Japanese government says the United States has apologized after
two American military helicopters made emergency landings on the

Trump holds bipartisan meeting over immigration stalemate

UK non-food retailers hit by pre-Christmas spending squeeze

UK's Equality Watchdog requests information from the BBC over Carrie Gracie case


Britain's watchdog on equality issues has written to the BBC to request facts around the case of Carrie Gracie, the journalist who has quit her role as China Editor in a row over equal pay.

U.S. Vice-Pres says North/South Korea talks result of Trump's pressure campaign

North and South Korea have begun their first face-to-face talks in more than two years. 

Negotiators from both sides of the peninsula are meeting at the Demilitarized Zone in an area known as 'truce village'

Sharp drop in refugees admitted to the US under President Trump.

Only 5,000 refugees have been granted entry into the US in the first

Weather, climate disasters in US made 2017 worst year on record

Where it comes to damage from natural disasters in the US, 2017 was the most expensive year on record.


Hurricanes, also known as tropical cyclones, as well as wildfires were among catastrophes that caused a whopping $306 billion us dollars in damages, based on data from the US agency that tracks ocean and weather events.
