A federal appeals court in Richmond Virginia has refused to reinstate President Trump's revised travel ban. The case is now likely to go to the Supreme Court.

Pentagon confirms over 100 Iraqi civilians killed in U.S. airstrike in March

The US Pentagon has confirmed that over 100 Iraqi civilians were killed in an American airstrike in Mosul in March.

The US was targeting two Islamic State snipers, but dozens of civilians in the same building as them were caught up in an explosion.

US president Donald Trump presses NATO allies to increase defense spending at summit

US president Donald Trump is pressing his NATO counterparts to increase defense spending  as the leaders meet of a summit in Brussels. 

Trump wants each country of the alliance to spend 2% of their annual GDP as has been agreed in the past.

The summit has been overshadowed somewhat by the United Kingdom Prime Minister Theresa May confronting Trump tover a series of intelligence leaks to US media from US intelligence services during the Manchester attacks investigation.

Americans unhappy with health care bill

An increasing number of Americans are unhappy with the House bill to repeal and replace what's nick-named Obamacare, the health care insurance legislation first passed under the Obama administration, some 57% according to the latest poll by Quinnipiac University..

U.S. President Donald Trump made lowering health insurance costs a key campaign promise, and while the legislation does do that, it comes at a signficant cost, some 23 million Americans losing health insurance according to the Congressional Budget Office.

And while American voters do not want to lose their insurance, Speaker Paul Ryan insists, it's good legislation.

House leadership denounces Montana candidate

Congressional leaders on both sides of the aisle are denouncing the physical attack by a Republican from Montana who wants to be the state's sole representative in the House.

Greg Gianforte has been charged with a misdemeanor - assault - after he body slammed and broke the glasses of Ben Jacobs, a reporter for the Guardian, who was asking him questions about the cost of health care.

Researchers claims India, not China, is World's Most Populous Nation

A Chinese researcher claims that China's official population estimates are wrong. This makes India the world's most populated country. He claims India's population is at about 1.32 billion right now.

The researcher also alleges that over the last 26 years China has overestimated the country's population by about 90 million.

Last year China abandoned its one-child policy following concerns of a rapidly ageing population.
