US president Donald Trump presses NATO allies to increase defense spending at summit

US president Donald Trump is pressing his NATO counterparts to increase defense spending  as the leaders meet of a summit in Brussels. 

Trump wants each country of the alliance to spend 2% of their annual GDP as has been agreed in the past.

The summit has been overshadowed somewhat by the United Kingdom Prime Minister Theresa May confronting Trump tover a series of intelligence leaks to US media from US intelligence services during the Manchester attacks investigation.

Trump urges the members of the alliance to increase their defense spending.
