No charges for white officers over black man's death

Two white police officers will not be charged for shooting dead a
black man in Louisiana last summer, an incident that caused days of
protests.

Video footage shows the officers shooting Alton Sterling while holding
him down on the ground.

Barnier: Brexit bill not a punishment

The EU's chief negotiator on Brexit says Britain must settle its accounts before it leaves the bloc, but says this is not a punishment.   

Michel Barnier was speaking after Britain's Financial Times newspaper claimed the bill Brussels will seek for the so-called divorce settlement has risen from 60 billion euro to 100 billion.

British officials say they do not recognize this figure and will not be paying it.

Publishing his Brexit mandate, agreed guidelines for the negotiations, Mr Barnier also said no figure had been agreed for the exit bill.  

Speaking through an interpreter he said it would simply be a settling of accounts.

India Lodges Complaint With Pakistan Over Mutilation Of Soldiers

India summoned Pakistan's envoy and lodged an official complaint over the alleged beheading of two of its soldiers. Pakistan has called India's allegations false.

Indian Government Says Citizens Don’t Have Absolute Rights Over Their Bodies

Australian journalists out on strike following mass sackings

On World Press Freedom day, Wednesday, a quarter of Australian newspaper publisher Fairfax's journalists were told they were being given their freedom, with the news their jobs were gone.
It's triggered a mass walk out by the company's journalists which is expected to encompass the Australian federal budget next Tuesday.

US FBI translator married ISIS recruiter she was investigating

translator married a Islamic State recruiter while on assignment.

In 2014, Daniela Greene travelled to Syria and secretly married the

White House repeats claim Mexico will pay for wall

Top White House officials are still trying to get Mexico to pay for the construction of a wall along the border with the U.S.

The spending compromise which President Trump is expected to sign includes just over $1 billion for some border security measures such as hiring more agents and repairs to the existing sections of the wall.

Office of Budget and Management Director Mick Mulvaney insists things are progressing on fulfilling this campaign promise to build the wall.
