The starting gun on the UK general election campaign is being fired with the dissolution of parliament.
Theresa May meets the Queen at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday to formally mark the end of House of Commons business and begin official campaigning.
Britain votes on June 8th and current polling suggests Mrs May's Conservative Party could be heading for a comfortable majority.
She says Brexit requires a Conservative government, while Liberal Democrat leader Tim Farron says his party will scrutinise that process, and Labour's Diane Abbott insists her leader Jeremy Corbyn is the right man to be Prime Minister.
