On World Press Freedom day, Wednesday, a quarter of Australian newspaper publisher Fairfax's journalists were told they were being given their freedom, with the news their jobs were gone.
It's triggered a mass walk out by the company's journalists which is expected to encompass the Australian federal budget next Tuesday.
