Chelsea Football Club investigating historic sexual abuse claims

Chelsea Football Club has been brought further into the football sexual abuse scandal, after a former youth player claimed he was paid 50,000 pounds (63,000 dollars) to keep quiet.

Gary Johnson received the money and signed a confidentiality agreement in 2015, after allegations made against ex-chief scout Eddie Heath.

ANDREW SACHS - MANUEL IN FAWLTY TOWERS - DIES AT 86

Actor Andrew Sachs - best known for playing Manuel in 1970s British comedy Fawlty Towers - has died at the age of 86.

His family has revealed he died last month and was buried on Thursday.

He'd been diagnosed with dementia four years ago.

PRO-EU LIB DEMS WIN RICHMOND BY-ELECTION

Britain's pro-EU Liberal Democrats have caused a major upset, winning a Parliamentary by-election which they fought on the issue of Brexit.

The Richmond Park by-election was triggered by former Conservative MP Zac Goldsmith who resigned after the party's decision to expand Heathrow Airport.

He stood as an independent candidate, but Liberal Democrat Sarah Olney overturned a 23 000 majority to oust him with a pro-EU platform.

It leaves Prime Minister Theresa May with an even slimmer parliamentary majority.

New US Federal Rule Bans Smoking in Public Housing

Trump makes first stop on victory tour [CLIPS]

President-elect Donald Trump has kicked off his victory tour by
announcing that he is selecting James 'Mad Dog' Mattis to be his
secretary of defense.

Mattis retired as chief of US Central Command in 2013, led operations

Actor Andrew Sachs, Manuel on comedy classic "Fawlty Towers", dead at 86

The actor Andrew Sachs, best known for his portrayal of the Spanish waiter Manuel on the classic BBC comedy "Fawlty Towers", has died at the age of 86.

He'd been suffering from dementia, and his family says that he passed away in Britain last week.

Born in Germany, his family fled the Nazis and resettled in UK in 1938.

His career began with radio drama but he made his screen debut in 1959 and went on to become a familiar face on many British TV series.

But it was as Manuel, the waiter from Barcelona working for hotelier Basil Fawlty, played by John Cleese, that Andrew Sachs won worldwide fame.

He reflected on the character's success in this 2009 interview marking Fawlty Towers' 30th anniversary.

President-Elect Donald Trump has announced that over 1,100 Americans will
keep their manufacturing jobs at the Carrier air-conditioning plant in
Indiana. This comes after the President-Elect had negotiated a deal to
keep the company from moving its jobs to Mexico, following through on
a campaign promise.
