President-Elect Donald Trump has announced that over 1,100 Americans will
keep their manufacturing jobs at the Carrier air-conditioning plant in
Indiana. This comes after the President-Elect had negotiated a deal to
keep the company from moving its jobs to Mexico, following through on
a campaign promise.
However, some have criticized the move, saying it's an unusually high
level of involvement in private enterprise by a US President or
President-Elect.
