Russia says it has stopped bombing Aleppo ahead of planned ceasefire

Russia says it has stopped bombing Aleppo as of 10am local time (0700 GMT) on Tuesday morning.
The Russian foreign ministry says this comes ahead of a eight hour ceasefire announced for Thursday which will allow civilians to evacuate.

Belgium Continues to Threaten CETA

European Union trade ministers are due to adopt the Canada-EU trade agreement—better known as CETA—as they meet Tuesday in Luxembourg.

At least two dead in Germany after BASF plant explosion

At least two people are dead and another two are missing after an explosion at a factory of the BASF chemical company in Germany. 

The cause of the blast remains unknown and rescue efforts are continuing.

NETFLIX REPORTS GROWING CUSTOMER BASE

Netflix has added 3.2 million new international customers in the last three months.

This was far more than analysts had been expecting and the company's share price jumped as a result.

The video streaming firm's results came after a year in which analysts had questioned whether Netflix could reverse signs of slowing growth.

But Danny Cox of stockbroker Hargreaves Lansdown says the company has done just that.

Australia's strong gun laws under threat by senate loose cannon

Australia's strong gun laws are under threat with a senator demanding the federal government remove a ban on an Adler lever action shotgun, effectively watering down the gun laws.
A five shot version of the gun is permitted to be imported to Australia and Liberal Democrat senator David Leyonhjelm (LION-HELM) wants the seven shot version, which is currently banned, permitted.

Amnesty accuses Australia of allowing torture of asylum seekers on Nauru

Australia's prime minister and the head of the nations immigration department have both denied Amnesty International claims that refugees on Nauru are being deliberately tortured.

Mosul operations expected to take 'some time' - US

US denies involvement in Julian Assange losing internet

The Obama administration is denying involvement in Julian Assange's claim that his internet connectivity was deliberately cut by a state party.

The founder of Wikileaks has sought sanctuary at the Ecuadorean embassy in London, as the Swedes call for his extradition to face charges of sexual assault.

Julian Assange insists, if he leaves the embassy, he will be deported to the United States.

Obama admin denies quid pro quo on Clinton emails

The White House and the U.S. State Department are denying there was any sort of a deal or quid pro quo arranged to address the classification of some of Hillary Clinton's emails.

A top U.S. State Department official had an exchange with his FBI counterpart about changing the classification of a few of Hillary Clinton's emails while in the same email exchange, spoke about slots for FBI agents at American agencies.

Concern was raised about "competence and professionalism" of former head of child abuse inquiry

It's emerged the secretary of a major inquiry into child abuse in the UK alerted Britain's Home Secretary about the "competence and professionalism" of the inquiry's chair - New Zealand judge Lowell Goddard...
