DEUTSCHE ASKED FOR $14BN SETTLEMENT

Deutsche Bank says it has 'no intention' of paying a $14bn settlement demanded by the US Department of Justice over an investigation into mortgage-backed securities.

But Deutsche says it expects the final settlement to be far lower once negotiations have concluded.

Richard Truer of stockbroker Hargreaves Lansdown says investigations related to the global financial crisis continue.
