At rally in Arizona, Trump says Mexico will pay for border wall

At a rally in Phoenix, Arizona Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump said an "impenetrable" border wall is a key part of his planned immigration policy, and said Mexico will foot the bill.

The Mexican President is contradicting a claim by Donald Trump that the two men failed to discuss whether Mexico will pay for the construction of a wall along the US border when they met a few hours ago.


President Enrique Pena Nieto says he told the Republican Presidential candidate that Mexico won't foot the bill for the wall's construction.

Venezuela Freezes Ties With Brazil

Venezuela is withdrawing its ambassador from Brazil and freezing ties with its neighbor to the south, in response to the removal from office of Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff.
Brazil’s Senate removed Rousseff from office on Wednesday for breaking budgetary laws.

Trump: didn't discuss who would pay for border wall with Nieto

Republican presidential hopeful, Donald Trump, says he didn't discuss who would pay for a border wall in his meeting in Mexico City, with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto.

He said he'd had a 'substantive, direct' discussion with the Mexican president, and stressed his respect for Mexican-Americans and the country itself.

Mr Trump has made the building of a wall along the US border with Mexico, a centerpiece of his presidential campaign.

US says impeachment of Brazilian president was legal

Countries around the world are reacting to the impeachment of Brazil's President, Dilma Rousseff.

Brazil's Senate has voted to remove Ms Rousseff, a former leftist guerrilla, on charges of manipulating the budget to hide the country's economic problems. 

Venezuela has recalled its ambassador and severed ties with Brazil, saying the removal of Ms Rousseff was illegal.

But in Washington, State department spokesman John Kirby told reporters that the Senate had acted within Brazil's constitution, and said the US would continue dealing with the country.

US confirms strike against al-Adnani

The U.S. military is confirming they conducted a precision airstrike against Abu Muhammad al-Adnani, who was thought to be one of the lead strategists for the Islamic State.

Historic commercial US flight lands in Cuba

The first commercial air flight from the US to Cuba in more than a half-century has touched down on the island.

The US Transportation Secretary was among those onboard the JetBlue passenger plane from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Santa Clara.

US to press to economic growth, limiting excess capacity at G20
