Trump, Clinton win big Super Tuesday victories

Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are celebrating sweeping victories in the primaries and caucuses that took place on Super Tuesday.


Mr. Trump says he is now ready to unify the Republican Party around his Presidential candidacy.


Mrs. Clinton says she's ready to take Mr. Trump on this November.

Syrian peace talks further delayed

The United Nations has announced the Syrian peace talks have been
further delayed, this time for another two days, until March 9th.

The UN's special envoy to Syria Stefan de Mistura has said he wants
the current truce to "settle down" before the talks re-start.

UN warns Europe in danger of humanitarian crisis as refugees are stranded in Greece

The UN Refugee Agency has warned that Europe is facing a largely
self-induced humanitarian crisis. An agency spokesperson said severe
shortages of food, shelter, and sanitation are growing concerns as
stricter policing of borders strains Greece's resources.

Zika 'might cause' Guillain-Barré syndrome


A new study has revealed that there might be an important link between the Zika virus and a neurological disorder called Guillain-Barré syndrome.

The scientists who conducted the study suggest that those countries hit by the Zika virus will see a rise in cases of this neurological condition.

More than a third of people shot by L.A. police last year were mentally ill

Apple, FBI to Face Off in Congressional Hearing

Apple will take on the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation before a
congressional panel on Tuesday, as both parties make their cases
regarding a court order that forces the tech giant to give the US
government data from an iPhone belonging to one of the San Bernardino
shooters. Apple's council will likely argue that creating a tool to
unlock the phone would weaken the security of hundreds of millions of
other Apple devices.

US auto industry set for best February sales figures in 15 years

makers in the US look set to post their best February sales figures in
15 years.

UN Security Council to vote on toughest sanctions against DPRK

The United Nations Security Council is slated to vote Wednesday on a resolution to punish North Korea for its latest nuclear and missile tests.

The joint US-China draft resolution aims to impose severe new trade restrictions and expand on existing sanctions.

If adopted, this would be the fifth round of UN sanctions imposed on North Korea, and the toughest by far.

Ousted Ukrainian president Yanukovych planning return to Ukraine

Ukraine's ousted president Viktor Yanukovych (PRON: Yan-Oo-Ko-Vitch) is seeking to return to the country and serve as its leader once again - according to his lawyer.

Bookseller Lee Bo Gives Televised Interview

A bookseller who went missing from Hong Kong has appeared on Chinese television claiming that he had not been abducted.


Lee Bo is one of five men involved in the publishing or sale of literature critical of China's leaders. Many believe his television interview was done under duress.
