Former Ivorian president Laurent Gbagbo denies charges of crimes against humanity at the ICC

Former president of Cote d'Ivoire Laurent Gbagbo has plead not guilty to four counts of crimes against humanity at the International Criminal Court in The Hague.

His co-accused, youth leader, Charles Ble Goude also denies the charges.

FACEBOOK BEATS EXPECTATIONS WITH PROFITS

Facebook more than doubled its profits in the fourth quarter of 2015.

UK TO ACCEPT 'MORE' CHILD REFUGEES

The UK says it will take in extra unaccompanied child refugees from Syria and other warzones.

Campaigners have been calling for Britain to accept at least 3000 children who have reached Europe.

The UK will ask the UN High Commissioner for Refugees to help it identify cases in which children should come to Britain from camps in and around Syria.

It is also committing around $15m in funding to help child refugees in Europe.

US scientists warn long wait for Zika vaccine

American scientists are warning, it could be a decade before a Zika vaccine is developed.

In the past year, the virus has exploded, with the latest case confirmed in Arlington, Virginia, just outside the American capital city.

Scientists are worried about the rising rate of micro-cephaly among pregnant women, possible sexual transmission and the upcoming Olympic Games in Brazil, where the majority of the infections are.

Authorities Urge Remaining Armed Oregon Protesters to Leave Refuge

US authorities are urging a group of armed men occupying a wildlife refuge in Oregon to abandon their protest.

It comes a day after the spokesman was killed and several others were arrested, including leader Ammon Bundy.

They have been demanding the right to graze cattle on federal land.
