Greek parliament set to vote on new bailout reforms

The Greek parliament is set to vote on a second set of reforms needed to secure a 86 billion euro bailout.

Opposition parties as well as hardline members of the ruling Syriza party are expected to back the measures.

Russia puts Ukrainian film director on trial

Ukrainian film director Oleg Sentsov has been put on trial by Russia in the country's southern city of Rostov-on-Don.


He is accused of plotting terrorist acts in Crimea in a case that he and his supporters say is politically motivated.

Apple release third quarter earnings (WRAP)

Tech giant Apple has posted earnings for the third quarter with both
profits and revenue beating Wall Street estimates with earnings per
share up at $1.85.

But the stock was sent lower in after-hour trading on Wall Street with
some investors fearing the company's performance fell short of their
usual standards.

Leader of Khorasan Group killed in Syria - US officials

U.S. officials say the leader of the Khorasan group was killed in an targeted airstrike in Syria.

The Khorasan Group worked with the Islamic State, but had stronger ties to al Qaeda, with an apparent goal of organizing terror strikes against the United States and its allies.

WFP's first sea shipment of food supplies arrive at Yemen port

The first sea shipment of United Nations food aid has arrived in Yemen, boosting the World Food Programme's ability to reach civilians grappling with an intensifying food shortage caused by the civil war.

The W-F-P says its first ship docked at the port of Aden on Tuesday, as the Yemen conflict enters its fourth month.

Prison inmate explored tunnels for months before escape

A convicted murderer who was shot and captured after breaking out of a
maximum security facility in New York says he spent months exploring
tunnels under the prison.

Russia puts forward rival MH17 draft

Russia has put forward a rival draft resolution on the investigation into the downing of Malaysia airlines flight MH17 in July 2014 over Russian-backed militant held territory in eastern Ukraine.
