Yemen's President calls for peace in NYT

Yemen's President, writing in the New York Times, has called for
international support to fight insurgents in his country.

Abdu Rabbu Mansour Hadi fled the country last month after weeks of fighting.

Rubio says he's “uniquely qualified” to be President

Another high profile candidate is entering the race for US President.

Florida Republican Senator Marco Rubio's told top donors that he's "uniquely qualified" for the job.

Rubio's announcement comes just a day after Hillary Clinton announced she would be running for the Democratic nomination for President.

US Protests Over Russian Intercept of Reconnaissance Plane

The US says it will file an official complaint over the intercept of an American reconnaissance plane by a Russian fighter jet, calling it 'unsafe and unprofessional'.

A Pentagon spokesman said the incident took place last week over the Baltic Sea.

Individual US states may retain Iran sanctions

Some individual American states may maintain local sanctions against companies and public investments trying to do business with Iran no matter the outcome of the nuclear talks, Reuters reports.

6000 European fighters believed to be in Syria

More than 6000 European jihadists are believed to be fighting in Syria.

Those are the latest figures according to the EU's Justice Commissioner Vera Jouriva who says prevention measures must be stepped up to stop groups like Islamic state from attracting young people to their cause.

VAN SALES BOOM IN UK

Britain is seeing a boom in van sales - as a result of the growth in online shopping - according to new figures.

The latest numbers suggest there are now 4.4 million vans and trucks on the UK's roads, delivering 81% of goods and moving 3000 tonnes of merchandise every minute.

Britain's opposition Labour Party is launching its manifesto ahead of a UK general election on May 7th.

Estonian President calls for permanent NATO force to ward off Russian threat

Estonian President Toomas Ilves has called for a permanent NATO force to be stationed in the country to counter the threat of invasion from Russia.

Nairobi student killed as Kenya blast creates panic
