Moscow McDonald's reopens

Moscow's most famous central branch of the McDonald's restaurant chain has re-opened following weeks of closure after Russia's consumer health watchdog said it had breached sanitary rules.

The closure, which many Russians saw as politically motivated, lead to other branches being shut elsewhere in Russia, court cases against McDonald's and inspections amid a campaign against the west and western symbols by Russian politicians and state media over the Ukraine crisis and related sanctions.

Tom Barton was there as the restaurant opened its doors once more.
