UKIP AIMING FOR SECOND MP IN ROCHESTER BYELECTION

The final day of campaigning is underway in a UK byelection which could see the Conservative-led government dealt another blow by the UK Independence Party.

Rochester's Conservative MP Mark Reckless defected to UKIP in September, resigning his seat and triggering a byelection.

Should he win the byelection he would become anti-EU, anti-immigration UKIP's second MP at Westminster.

The Conservatives are hoping to halt the UKIP advance in Rochester with just months to go until a UK general election in May.
