The United States military has struck and destroyed three Iranian oil tankers after Iran's Revolutionary Guard fired ballistic missiles at a US aircraft carrier and a guided-missile destroyer.
US Central Command says the tankers were hit at three separate locations — off Kharg Island, near Jask, and in the Gulf of Oman — and that no American personnel were harmed.
The CENTCOM commander, Admiral Brad Cooper, warned that Washington would not hesitate to destroy what he called Iran's limited and exposed oil fleet.
