Renoir Masterpieces Stolen In Latest French Heist

Thieves stole four Renoir paintings worth millions of dollars from the Renoir museum on the French Riviera on Tuesday morning.


Police say they were on site 5 minutes after the alarm went off, and gave chase, during which two of the paintings were dropped.

It comes six months after a Renoir was one of 3 paintings stolen from a museum near the Italian city of Parma, and less than a year after thieves stole more than 100 million dollars worth of jewellery from the Louvre in Paris.
