The death toll from last week's devastating landslides and flash flooding in Nepal has passed one thousand, with nearly four thousand people still unaccounted for.
Joint rescue teams from Nepal, India and China are racing to reach hundreds of workers believed trapped inside hydropower tunnels along the Trishuli River, but drone searches at one key site have found no signs of life, with the critical seventy-two-hour survival window now passed.
Nepal's prime minister says more than two hundred and seventy workers have been pulled from the tunnels so far.
