Iranian border guards have seized a vessel carrying 382,000 litres of smuggled fuel in the northern Gulf and arrested its eleven foreign crew members, as tensions between Washington and Tehran escalate once more.
US President Donald Trump has posted on Truth Social that he does not care whether Iran signs a deal, saying he is satisfied with America's position — while Iran's foreign ministry has accused the United States of hitting a wedding ceremony in the southern town of Kuhestak, calling it a war crime.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has said new sanctions targeting Iran's banking sector will be announced in the coming days.
