Ukraine has launched more than 620 drones at the Moscow region overnight in what Russian officials describe as the largest attack on the capital in two years, injuring three people including a ten-year-old girl and shutting down all four of Moscow's international airports.
The massive barrage comes as the Kremlin simultaneously pursues diplomatic partnerships further afield — hosting Myanmar's leaders for a series of cooperation agreements covering trade, energy and construction.
Moscow says it has begun building a nuclear power plant in Myanmar as the two countries seek to deepen economic ties while Russia faces extensive Western sanctions over the war in Ukraine.
