The death toll from Nepal's catastrophic flash flood has risen to at least 547, with nearly a thousand people still missing and a newly formed lake now threatening a fresh deluge in the disaster zone.
The flood, triggered by a glacial collapse that sent a wall of ice and rock into the Lhende Khola River, destroyed buildings and infrastructure at the Gyirong border crossing between Nepal and China's Tibet region.
More than five hundred foreign nationals remain unaccounted for, including dozens of Americans, Australians and Indians.
