Nepal's police have issued an alert warning communities near the Chinese border to move to safety, amid fears that a barrier lake formed by flash flooding could burst and trigger a second wave of devastation.
More than 640 foreigners from 32 countries are among those still unaccounted for, including 90 Americans and at least 39 Australians.
At hospitals in Kathmandu, families have been gathering to search for missing relatives.
