IRAN CALLS NEW US SANCTIONS A 'DECLARATION OF WAR' AS TREASURY SECRETARY PREPARES FRESH ECONOMIC MEASURES

Iran's Foreign Ministry has branded the latest round of US economic sanctions a declaration of war on all nations, accusing Washington of asserting authority over every member state of the United Nations.

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is expected on Monday to unveil further measures aimed at tightening the financial squeeze on Tehran, having vowed to collapse the Iranian regime.

US President Donald Trump has warned of what he calls tremendous economic consequences for any country that continues to do business with Iran.
