European Union interior ministers have backed Spain's response to the mass border crossing in Ceuta, with the bloc's migration commissioner declaring full solidarity with Madrid.
The confirmed death toll from the incident has risen to seventy-five, though Spanish authorities say roughly seventy thousand of the seventy-two thousand people who crossed into the North African enclave have now returned to Morocco.
